House Info
Heat & Air Conditioning
The temperature is controlled on each floor by a Nest thermostat. You can adjust the temperature up or down by gently swiping up or down on the right-hand side of the thermostat. Note: in colder months ask us ahead of time to turn up the heat remotely so the house will be warm when you arrive. In warmer months ask us to turn on the A/C.
Garbage
The large garbage bins are located just outside the side garage door. Garbage collection day is Friday and the bins can be put on the alleyway street on Thursday night. General waste goes in the black bin and mixed recycling goes in the blue bin.
Hand Washing Dishes
All of the silverware, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, etc are dishwasher safe, but we would prefer if you hand wash frying pans, pots, pans, wooden utensils, wooden cutting boards, and anything you think might not survive in the dishwasher.
Security Cameras
For security purposes there are cameras located in the garage and outside the house. Please remind us to turn off the cameras while you’re staying there.
TVs
The TV upstairs and the TV downstairs are both “smart” TVs with Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc. Feel free to log out of our accounts and log into your own accounts. Remember to log out of your accounts when you leave!
Hot Water
The house has a continuous hot water heater with a recirculation pump. If you don’t want to turn on a shower/faucet and wait for hot water, you will find little black remote controls with a silver button that can turn on the recirculation pump. Click the button a minute or two before turning on a shower to get hot water as soon as you turn on the tap.
Other Info
Please contact us directly to get the street address, Wi-Fi password, and a key-code for the front door. You can also swing by our house to pick up a physical key, garage door opener, and Monterey Bay Aquarium guest passes.

Cleaning supplies can be found in every bathroom cabinet, in the laundry room, and under the kitchen sink. Feel free to use whatever you need. Let us know if you see anything that should be restocked. You should find window cleaner, all purpose cleaner, toilet cleaner, bleach wipes, paper towels, etc.
